German quatrains

It was the last semester at uni. German class. Or rather 2 German classes following each other. Brains started to roll up already closer to the end of the 1st class. Victoria Vladimirovna was desperately trying to teach us to use Partizip II, but we were absolutely learning-disabled. We were entreating to let us go home, but she was steadfast as usual. She spread the copies with some statements about environmental protection and made us comment upon those statements. It was real torture, ‘coz none of us is ever able to make a huge serious comment in German without making a 1,2,3..hundred mistakes. She starts to correct them, and insists that you should repeat the comment without mistakes, then she wants to ask you a question on your comment, and you answer it with another 1,2,3..hundred mistakes, she starts to correct them etc. The average comment takes at least 15 min. And before you’re allowed to comment upon the next statement you need to listen to the comments of your groupmates, i.e. another 9 15-min long answers… I was the first to comment, and during the next hour I did not know what to do and how to entertain myself. I even started composing short primitive poems in German in the form of a comment upon the next 5 statements. They may sound too silly and lack proper rhythm, but it’s just what I created in my poor German during that hour of waiting. Just take it as a joke :)

Wir brauchen Luft

Und wir alle müssen unsere Umwelt schützen

Die Leute sollten nicht soviel Auto fahren

Dafür sollen wir überall in unserem Leben besser aufpassen
Der Treibhauseffekt führt zur Erwärmung, das ist die Erhöhung der Temperatur
Und das bringt Zerstörung und beeinflüsst sehr schlecht die Natur

Die Regierung muss die Propaganda auf die Massen einstellen,
Die Städte unseres Landes mit dem Müll nicht überzuquellen
Niemand will den ganzen Tag im Müll leben
Keinen Müll zu werfen, muss man sein Wort geben

Wir haben heute komplizierte ökologische Situation
Aber es gibt “Greenpeace”, eine Umweltschutzorganisation
Ihre Mitglieder werden für Weldverbesserung eintreten
Und natürlich werden diese Aktionen die Natur retten

P.S German guys, sorry for the mistakes you will find in these lines, I’m no way a good German speaker :)
