Wish list

Sitting in the office, half-sleeping, no work, no bosses, bosses are faraway… filling in the questionnaire for a friend. The question “What do you want at this very moment?” Definitely: I want to buy skates – FINALLY. And a guitar. Skates or guitar? Both. And what else?

Have just prepared a short list of things I would like to do someday:

1. Learn to play the guitar, gather a band and set off to travel and play in the streets – Europe, North America, South America…
2. Learn sound-recording and sound production
3. Find myself standing on the stage singing my song (even if it’s just the stage in my music school).
4. Participate in movie-shooting at least as one of the crowd
5. Do a round-the-world hitch-hiking journey or at least round-the-world self journey even if not hitch-hiking.
6. Participate in archaeological excavations
7. Be a member of a scientific expedition to some remote place on the globe (in Russia or anywhere else)
8. Do UNO volunteer work in South America
9. Do alpinism somewhere in the world.
10. Do a bike tour anywhere for any duration
11. Do a boat (canoe) trip also anywhere
12. Do a Volga cruise
13. Finally learn to swim (have learnt something, but a lot is left for me on that issue still)
14. Learn to ride a horse properly
15. Learn to skate
16. Learn to dance Latino dances
17. Try snowboarding
18. Try surfing
19. Interpret at foreign affairs conference or be sort of involved in politics (as translator, interpreter, diplomat - anything)
20. Be able to speak proper German and Spanish

What about you? What would you like to do someday? Looking forward for your suggestions!

Some good quotes

Today I was translating quotations for a training module, and several struck me personally:

“The one who causes anger is excused. The one who gets is accused”
(this applies to some of my (ex) friends, won’t specify)

“Whatever you vividly imagine, ardently desire, sincerely believe, and enthusiastically act upon… must inevitably come to pass!”

“You never get a second chance to make a good first impression”.

“We are our choices”.

Morning words

The paper sheet with these words hangs in my kitchen, and every morning when I'm having breakfast I cast a glance towards it:

'Every day think as you wake up, Today I am happy to have woken up, I am alive, I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it, I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others, to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings, I am going to have kind thoughts toward others, I am not going to get angry or think badly about others, I am going to benefit others, as much as I can.'

The Day of the Interpreter

I have just learnt that yesterday was the Day of the Interpreter.
We were congratulating Lyubas, Nadezhdas, Veras, and Sofias on the day (the Day of St. Sofia and her daughters - Vera, Nadezhda, Lyubov), and nobody knew that I also had a holiday (nor even I!)
SO... I am eager to receive your congratulations!!! You are welcome to wish me all the happiness, luck, health, gloss, love etc etc that exists in the world!!! :)))

PS we will definitely correct it today having a small party with Lyuba and Yegor :)

PS2 there's another date today for me also - my Mom's having a Birthday
